Transcript of the Patton Letter 1750-1800
Dear Mr Montgomery
We take the liberty of sending a bank draft for Bonny Glen to your care and being so kind will send it to Donegal the first opportunity perhaps from that quarter after the assizes as we are most anxious to have the bank draft forwarded
immediately and in haste.
I conclude and render myself, yours most humbly
Crohan House Tamney
Bonnyglen is a small estate residence near Mountcharles in County Donegal. Although the letter is badly stained and the handwriting is extremely confusing to read, the overall interpretation of the meaning appears reasonably clear. The H Patton signature and the address are both legible.
